About the work
Our View Is Mineral
The Artwork grows out of an imagined encounter between Miroslava Večeřová and a seal, and from her long-standing interest in the relationships between humans and the natural world. The close-up of the seal’s eye reverses the usual perspective, placing the human in the position of being observed.
