About the work
Untitled (ALWAYS NOW) 1C
Photography has the ability to flatten a given slice of time onto paper or into a range of black and white tones, and can be viewed as a bubble floating somewhere in front of us that we can percieve from many different angles. These slices of perspective can have different backgrounds, different geometric shapes and arrangements, and different color associations, which the author keeps strictly within the integrity of the design, including the frame. The central motif of the series is the circle, which serves as a gateway to other worlds much like our eyes. The circle is also a shape that can be understood as a metaphor for a certain representation of time or also timelessness that the chosen motifs can evoke.
